Fill holes. Use architecture. Make space for others.

Dag series.
Inspired by the late Dag Hammarskjöld's estate in the Hagestad natural reserve, Backåkra, this "Dag series" represented a new challenge by offering a naturalistic placement for the objects and an unrestrained framework in which to make them thrive. The designing principles were organized around the preexisting wooden structures around the estate. The carved out elements stay sinuous and light, while the benches as a whole keep a simple structure and an austere, narrow seating area. The goal throughout the designing and realization process has been to maintain the spirit and frugal means of protestant spiritual meditation and self-thought.
Each bench is made out of a single piece of wood; type of wood varies: teak, cedar, cypress. A total of eight different pieces have been created. All the originals will sit around the estate's parks after showcase, while one copy of each bench has been given to supporters of the estate.
